Superior Country est situé dans le nord-ouest de l’Ontario, au centre du Canada et le long du plus grand lac d’eau douce du monde, le lac Supérieur. Superior Country est une région reconnue pour ses aventures de plein air de calibre mondial, la chasse et la pêche, ses itinéraires touristiques attrayants, sa beauté naturelle et ses communautés accueillantes. Parmi les attractions populaires de Superior Country, citons le Sleeping Giant sur la péninsule de Sibley, les chutes de Kakabeka Falls (2e au rang des grandes chutes d’eau de l’Ontario), la rivière et le pont Nipigon (où l’on a pêché le plus gros omble de fontaine), le sentier Casque Isle (qui longe la côte du lac Supérieur sur 53 km) et bien d’autres choses à voir et à faire. Thunder Bay est la plus grande ville de Superior Country, et compte 110 172 résidents.

Superior Country est à la frontière internationale avec le Minnesota. Du côté canadien de la frontière se trouve le parc provincial Pigeon River et du côté américain, le parc State Park Grand Portage. Les parcs sont séparés par la frontière et par la rivière Pigeon. Les High Falls de la rivière sont un site populaire à visiter et peuvent être vues de part et d’autre de la frontière.
